Visa and Entry Requirements for Foreigners


Passport:(*)

  1. Carry a valid passport with
  2. at least six months’ validity
  3. from your date of arrival to India.

Travel Arrangements

Flight:

  1. Flights are being operated at Shirdi by SpiceJet and IndiGo only.
  2. For International travelers (*): They must change over at any of these airport to fly Shirdi directly. Viz-
    • New Delhi (DEL),
    • Chennai (MAA),
    • Bangalore (BLR),
    • Hyderabad (HYD),
    • Indore (IDR), and
    • Vijayawada (VGA).
  3. Additionally, one can use these nearest airports, to get to Shirdi by taking a train, bus, or car – Nashik (ISK), Aurangabad (IXU), Pune (PNQ), and Mumbai (BOM). For our further details, please click here

Train:

  1. Sainagar Shirdi Railway Station (SNSI) is situated 3 kilometers from the Shirdi Sai Baba temple.
  2. The nearest railway stations to Shirdi are:
    • Korpargaon*(KPG),
    • Nagarsol# (NSL), and
    • Manmad (MMR) Junction
  3. *Share Auto (Government  Bus also available in Shirdi Bus Stand, at every half an hour for Rs.30 + local Share auto at Rs.20 to KPG railway station) and #Share Taxi services are  available directly to Shirdi.

  1. Maharashtra State Government Transport buses are available from cities like

Visit the Temple Employees’ Co-op Stores, around the Shirdi temple like Sai Shopping Complex corner etc. Buy prasadam and take them to offer at Baba’s feet and get His blessings, if possible#

Darshan Pass directly in person:

  1. You can also obtain directly at Ticket counters, around temple complex, in person-
  2. Free Pass (Also available at Temple accommodations) or
  3. Senior Citizen free pass along with a attender, for quick darshan or
  4. Paid pass for Rs.200 for quick darshan.

Religious services at temple


Volunteer for free services:

You can volunteer some free services, offered at the Shirdi Temple. This opportunity, lets you forge a deeper connection with the spiritual ambiance of this sacred place.

You have to come Now, in a group of 7 to 21 people to do the service. This must be done from every Tuesday to Monday, for 7 days continuously. Please register at Temple Management website

At the Temple

Must visit with in temple complex

  1. Visit Sai Baba’s Samadhi Mandir.
  2. Proceed to the Neem tree and Gurusthan.
  3. Collect free prasadam – Udhi/Holy Ash and sweets.
  4. Subsequently, visit the Sansthan office to book for next day Aarthi etc or donations, if interested.
  5. Then Pay respects at the Ganesh, Sani, and Siva-Parvati shrines.
  6. Next, observe the Satya Narayana Pooja Hall, among other locations.
  7. Buy Dhoop sticks, crafted from flowers and garments already offered to Sai Baba.
  8. Then Engage in meditation in the nearest designated hall and peruse books available in multiple languages.
  9. Next Visit and offer prayers to God Dattatreya and others.
  10. Proceed to the Nandha Lamp.
  11. Then see and immerse with ‘Baba’s used items’ at the Dixit Wada Museum.
  12. Proceed to Lendi Garden (with Well-SSSC Ch 6), following a visit to the ‘tombs of devotees close to Baba.’
  13. Light oil lamps at the specified location.
  14. Finally, visit:
    i. Dwarakamai
    ii. Chavadi
    iii. Abdul Baba cottage
    iv. Maruti temples and other temples etc.


Dress Code:

Dress modestly, covering your shoulders and knees; Avoid wearing shorts, sleeveless tops, or revealing clothing.


Photography:

Photography is not allowed within temple areas.

Other Tips

  • FREE food provided at Prasadalaya by Temple Sansthan,
  • Free Bus is also provided by them, between accommodation, Temple and Prasadalaya,
  • Do not forget to visit Museum, near Gurusthan.
  • Mobile phones, cameras etc aren’t permitted inside temple.
  • Keep shoes (free) and Mobile (paid), at Temple counters only.
  • Have “face darshan” of  Baba; Quick, but distance darshan. Suitable, while leaving Shirdi

Carry some Indian Rupees for small expenses. ATMs are available, besides UPI (Virtual payment system)


Health and Safety:

Drink bottled water available at Temple tea stalls, use hand sanitizer, and be mindful of your belongings in crowded areas
