The Sri Saibaba Sansthan Trust is the organization that manages the Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir and other related temples in Shirdi, India.

  • Since the death of Sai Baba in 1918, His devotees started to worship His resting place. The number of pilgrims belonging to various religions constantly increased, and they came with offerings of money, gold, ornaments, and other valuables as gifts for their beloved Baba.
  • In 1922, the villagers formed a trust to manage the fund and to continue the daily aratis (oil lamp ritual) of Sai Baba.
  • After some time, it was registered as ‘Shirdi Sansthan of Shree Saibaba’ under Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950.
  • In 1960, Government asked Ahmednagar city civil court to appoint a Court Receiver for the management of the Sai Baba Sansthan.
  • In 1982 Government of Maharashtra, the charity commissioner and the court decided to appoint members of public as Trustees to look after Sansthan, so that the Sansthan could provide better accommodation and other facilities to the pilgrims.
  • The Trust is now functioning under the Ministry of Law and Justice of the Government of Maharashtra. It operates under a special Act “Sri Sai Baba Sansthan Trust Act, 2004”.
